March 16, 2019 – From noon to six p.m. more than 400 people showed up in support of the Extra Chromie Club. They enjoyed live music, food, drinks, activities for the kids, silent auction items and the opportunity to be in relation with people with Down syndrome in their community. The purpose of this event is to highlight companies and organizations which employ or are ran by people with Down syndrome. We were thrilled to highlight our feature vendors Blake’s Snow Shack, Shine Lab and Noonday Collection Ambassador – Jill Moerschell. People with Down syndrome are extremely capable, and we hope you were able to recognize the value they bring to our community.
At the 2019 Extra Chromie Fest we were able to raise $7,806.65. Through the generosity of our sponsors, not only were all expenses for Extra Chromie Fest covered so every dollar raised at the event was donated to the Down syndrome Diagnosis Network, we were able to round it up to an even $8,000. We can’t thank everyone enough who showed up, bid on a silent auction item, bought a t-shirt or just flat out donated to Extra Chromie Club. Our sponsors were: Corporate Magic, Hugh M. Cunningham Companies, Rabbit Hole Brewing, Soar Music School, Londa Bea and John Branson, Kittye and Connis Seedig, Just Church Friends, Martha Garrett, Lone Star Ag Credit, and Dana and Andy McCray. Thank you to each and every one of you.
Extra Chromie Fest could not have been possible without our great group of volunteers. Thank you for your time and support of this dream. You make dreams come true and we can’t put a price on that… except maybe a free t-shirt.
